READING: Keeanga Yamahtta-Taylor

Lannan Writer in Residence Keeanga Yamahtta-Taylor reads at the Marfa Book Company on Saturday, April 6th at 6 pm. 

Taylor is the author of the forthcoming book, Rat, Riots and Revolution: Black Housing in the 1960s (Haymarket) and is a doctoral candidate at Northwestern University.  Taylor gave an excellent speech at last year's Socialism Conference in Chicago which addressed police brutality and racism in what author Michelle Alexander has called the era of The New Jim Crow.
