We're hosting the excellent novelist and non-fiction writer David Treuer this evening at 6 pm. Treuer is here with the Lannan Foundation and has recently finished his fourth novel, Prudence. Previous novels, including The Translation of Dr. Apelles, Little and The Hiawatha, have been widely praised and have even received strong advocacy from the very discerning Toni Morrison. His most recently published work, Rez Life, provides a decidedly more thorough and less stereotypical look at life on reservations in the U.S., and in particular the Ojibwe Reservation in northern Minnesota, where he was raised.
