Art Opening: “Aether”, recent photographs by Alex Marks opens in the gallery.
You don't want to miss Homosexual Atheist Drug Party, an exhibition of photographs by Marfa resident John Daniel (probably better known as J.D.) Garcia, which opens in the gallery tonight at 6 pm.
Signing: Zoe Leonard will be here, signing copies of her recently released book, Available Light, which documents, among other things, her series of camera obscura works, including the piece that she made for the Chinati Foundation.

From Thursday, December 5th through Sunday, January 12th, Chinati Foundation Director Emeritus Marianne Stockebrand, will be presenting a selection of works, both new and old, by Alpine-based potters Mimi and Roberto Dopson.

Marfa's own Toshi Sakihara will present "Senbazuru", an exhibition of his recent origami works. Senbazuru, meaning "one thousand Cranes", is a Japanese practice intended to gain luck and restore health.
Cross-Over, new work by Steve Holzer will be on display until Sunday, October 6th. According to the artist, Cross-Over is an “exploration of the edge, the place where divergent worlds come together.”
Marfa-based painter Dustin Pevey presented an exhibition of his paintings and photographs at the Marfa Book Co from August 1st through September 1st.
Artist and designer Sam Schonzeit will be officing, working and exhibiting in the MBCo gallery for the month of July. And when I say exhibiting, I mean two things: in addition to a rotating exhibition of Sam's paintings, sculpture, furniture, and pottery, much of which he will be making on site, Sam will be constructing a small gallery called "Showing People" where he will exhibit other artist's work.
