Alan Gilbert, author of Late in the Antenna Fields and Another Future: Poetry and Art in a Postmodern Twilight, will be reading from his work.

The Cowboys, Willie and West Texas: A Dialogue with Joe Nick Patoski, Patoski is the author of many books on Texas culture, including biographies of Selena, Stevie Ray and Willie, and has contributed lengthy essays to books on Conservation in Texas, The Big Bend, the Texas Coast and the mountains of Texas.

Colson Whitehead, the author of the novels The Intuitionist, John Henry Days, Zone One and Sag Harbor will be reading from his work.
IDA SOULARD AND FABIEN GIRAUD
Fabien Giraud and Ida Soulard will discuss their forthcoming book and installation "Marfa Stratum", which explores the geologic history of the Permian Basin, sheaf theory (via Alexander Grothendieck), speculative realism (via Quentin Meillassoux) and catastrophe theory (via Rene Thom).
DAVID TREUER
We're hosting the excellent novelist and non-fiction writer David Treuer this evening at 6 pm. Treuer is here with the Lannan Foundation and has recently finished his fourth novel, Prudence.

Rosa Alcala will be reading from her own work as well as her translations from the recently published Spit Temple: The Selected Performances of Cecilia Vicuna.
ANTHONY ELMS
Along with our friends at Ballroom Marfa, we hosted curator and writer, Anthony Elms, on Thursday, April 4th, 2013. Elms, who is Associate Curator at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia and the editor of WhiteWalls, an independent publisher distributed through the University of Chicago Press, will be talking about White Petals Surround Your Yellow Heart, which he recently presented in Philly.

Februrary 22nd, we hosted Ali Abunimah, author of One Country: A Bold Proposal to End the Israeli-Palestinian Impasse (Haymarket) and editor of The Electronic Intifada, an excellent online newsite for articles pertinent to the Palestinian community and the situation in Israel.
YOUTH MEDIA PROJECT
On Thursday, January 31st, 2013, we hosted a group of Marfa High School students, their friends and family, as well as a large number of members of the community, as the students presented original audio documentaries as a part of the Youth Media Project organized by Alice Quinlan and Marfa Public Radio.
